Your consultant

_claire_harper.jpgClaire Harper BA (Hons), DipION FdSc, mBANT

Claire studied for four years at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and is fully qualified to practice nutritional therapy. You can find Claire on both the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) practitioner registers, who are the regulatory bodies representing quality in this sector.

Before training in nutrition, Claire worked as a public relations consultant for health, beauty and food brands. She experienced firsthand just how damaging the fast-paced corporate environment can be to health. Diving energy levels, urgent deadlines and long hours meant that strong coffees and high calorie pick-me-ups were the office norm, as were creeping weight gain, exhaustion and illness. With hundreds of ideas and techniques aimed at improving physical health whilst living the urban life, Claire could provide you with the tools to perform at your best every day as well as safeguarding your health for the future.

"We should all try to take control of our own state of health, put a stop to being tired all the time, resolve any ongoing problems and aim to feel really genuinely well."

Experienced in aunt-hood, Claire is in tune with the immense physical and emotional demands of pregnancy and caring for kids, and is able to give advice to help maintain energy, achieve optimal hormone levels, produce marvellous breast milk, gain confidence, improve mood, the list goes on.

"The nutritional guidance provided as standard for expectant and new mums rarely goes far beyond the basic 5 A Day advice, so if you're looking for some extra support during this time, especially if you have specific symptoms or needs, then a nutrition consultation could be a good choice."
